Cheltenham Township EMS

Cheltenham Township is the first suburb north of Philadelphia, PA.  The Township is 9.0 square miles with a population of 37,000. The Township of Cheltenham Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was the first municipally operated EMS services within Montgomery County.  Our service has a staff of Full Time Paramedics, part-time EMTs and a limited number of volunteers.  Our service responds to approximately 3,300 emergency (9-1-1) call per year and we do not do routine transports.  We have bicycles for special events and the only Pennsylvania State Certified ALS response motorcycle.  As indicated by the picture, we have strong ties to our community and a strong community outreach program.  Our pay rates are commiserate with the local area.  Our benefit plan includes, heath care, dental care, eye care, a prescription plan, and a retirement plan.
